“It was so helpful to gain clarification on the types of things to think about and I'm so proud of what I achieved.” Rach, 39.
Imagine waking up each day feeling calmer, more focused, and connected to what truly matters. Journalling can help you get there. It’s simple, it’s powerful, and it’s your first step toward rediscovering the joy and purpose you deserve.
They say life begins at 40.
For me, it felt like everything I thought I knew was crumbling.
One spontaneous comment ended my 13-year relationship, and suddenly I found myself standing in a life that no longer felt like home, wondering, Why me? What comes next?
If you've ever felt like you were sleepwalking through a life that didn't quite fit, staying in situations that no longer served you because the unknown felt scarier than the familiar, you'll understand. I'd been in denial for years, but sometimes it takes everything falling apart for us to finally wake up.
My lifeline came in the most unexpected form of a blank journal page. At first, it was messy and chaotic, but slowly, clarity emerged. Something incredible was happening: I was growing from the inside out, a more powerful version of myself emerging.
The real power came when I understood how to use journalling effectively. With the right techniques at the right moments, everything finally began to fall into place. That's why I'm so passionate about writing for wellbeing, because I know in my heart that if it could change my life so completely, it can change yours too.

“[My] words … were a careful curation of purposeful personal goals which emerged through a series of insightful journaling practices followed by powerful ways to weave my future vision into my present practices.” Jane, 53.
Each session takes just 15-20 minutes, and you’ll gain clarity and calm that saves you time in the long run.
Not at all! Journalling is for your eyes only. It's about exploration, not literary excellence. The techniques I share are specifically designed to help you bypass the inner critic.
? Journalling isn’t about being a great writer, it’s about being honest with yourself. There’s no right or wrong way to do it.
? Life happens, and that’s okay. Journalling is here for you whenever you’re ready to return. Whether it’s a week, a month, or a year, the insights you gain will always be waiting for you. This is your journey, on your terms.
It’s completely normal for your mind to wander. Think of it as part of the process. When it happens, gently bring your focus back to the page. Some participants find it helpful to keep a ‘thought jotter’ nearby – a separate page where you can jot down fleeting ideas and return to them later. Remember, journalling isn’t about perfection, it’s about progress.
All you need is a notebook and pen you love using. Many participants find that writing by hand helps them connect more deeply with their thoughts, but you can also use a computer or tablet if that feels right for you. The key is to choose tools that make you excited to sit down and write.
Absolutely not. Your journal is your private space. The course is designed as a self-guided journey, though many participants choose to share insights (not their actual writing) with trusted friends.
While journalling has therapeutic benefits, this course is designed as an educational tool to help you explore self-awareness and personal growth. It’s not a substitute for therapy, but it can complement professional support by giving you a safe space to process your thoughts and emotions.
That’s fantastic! If you’re ready to take your practice to the next level, I offer a premium live Zoom course, ‘Journal to the Self.’ Over six weeks, we’ll explore advanced techniques in a supportive group setting. This is your chance to deepen your journalling journey and connect with others who share your passion. Click here to learn more and join the next cohort.
Journalling is a powerful tool for self-discovery, and it’s natural for deep emotions to surface as you explore your thoughts and feelings. This is a sign that you’re connecting with what truly matters to you. If you find yourself feeling overwhelmed or uncovering emotions that feel too big to handle alone, that’s okay, it’s part of the process for many people. Take a pause, breathe, and know that reaching out to a qualified mental health professional is a sign of strength, not weakness. They can help you process these emotions and move forward with clarity and confidence. If you’re not sure where to start, consider reaching out to your GP, a local therapist, or a trusted mental health organisation. Many offer free consultations or resources to help you take the first step. Remember, this course is designed to help you build self-awareness and resilience through journalling. While it’s not a substitute for therapy, it can be a powerful complement to professional support, giving you tools to process your thoughts and emotions in a safe and structured way.
